Charlie Brennan feat. Lulu S. // Chicago
16 year-old Charlie Brennan isn’t exactly the biggest star around. This is a hauntingly beautiful original song featuring the ethereal backing vocals of Lulu S. The light piano and electropop influences remind me faintly of Ellie Goulding or even Robyn while the entire presentation likens itself to Marvin’s Room.
Lulu S. really highlights this song in all the right ways, picking up where Charlie’s somewhat monotonous vocals leave off in a breathy echo. This is what a collaboration is like, folks. Check out the accompanying video here.

Carrie Underwood // Good Girl
I’m not quite sure where Carrie’s going with this track that sounds more pop than country to my ears, but I LIKE IT!

The Civil Wars // Barton Hollow
First of all, they won a Grammy for this album and second of all, their sound is beyond magical. Lets leave it at that.

George Watsky // Live from Public Storage
First of all let me qualify that I am a huge Watsky fan from the top of his head to his gorgeous knees. Therefore I shall say that there is everything phenomenal about this Spoken Word poet turned fast rappin’ artist.
Living in public storage? Been there, done that.
Just… go download his new EP on Bandcamp. You’ll see what I mean.
And unfortunately for me, Watsky’s into older women (see Mrs Robinson).
